Clyde E. Raines Jr., 77, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Rosedale, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, Fla.
He was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Elkins, a son of the late Clyde Edward Raines Sr. and Ruth Markley Raines.
He was married to Ella Jane Stone Raines, who survives in Englewood, Fla.
Also surviving are four daughters, Valinda Scott of Mill Creek, Vickie Johnson of Ladson, S.C., Brenda Shiflett of Oakland, Md., and Janet Swiger of Flemington; four sons, Dale Raines, Ronnie Raines and Larry Raines, all of Mill Creek, and Jack Raines of Junior; two brothers, Roger Raines of Tennessee, and Sandy Raines of Arizona; two sisters, Georgette Wilson of Lakeland, Fla., and Louise Raines of Elkins; one stepdaughter, Patricia Kincaid of Baltimore, Md.; two stepsons, Warzena Brammer of Baltimore, Md., and Elder Barnabas Brammer of Hanover, Pa.; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He worked for Carrier Plumbing & Heating in maintenance.
Friends will be received at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, Md. Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. with Elder Barnabas Brammer and Elder Elva Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Black Rock Cemetery in Butler, Md.
