Cora Mae Daniels Obituary 1934-2020
Cora Mae Daniels, 86, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1934, in Hemlock, a daughter of the late Lonnie Americus Daniels Sr., and Lena Orpha Scott Daniels.
On Dec. 4, 1955 she married Troy Debert Daniels who survives. They had celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Also left to cherish her memory are four children, Carolyn Vandevender and husband Gene of Valley Bend, Calvin Daniels, Charlotte Ferrell and husband Mark, and Clyde Daniels, all of Mill Creek, three grandchildren, Jessica George and husband Matt, Steven Daniels and companion Samantha Friel and son Eli Lee, Craig and Emily Daniels, four great-grandchildren, Brenna and Shelby George, Molly and Liam Daniels, one sister, Jean Seymour, three brothers, Archie Daniels and wife Anna, Rev. Lonnie Daniels and wife Norma, and Richard Daniels and wife Denise.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were four sisters, Mavadell Summerfield, Madge Daniels, Phyllis Golden, Margaret Daniels, one brother, Robert Daniels, and three brothers in law, Rev. Ralph Summerfield, Inole Daniels, and Don Seymour.
Cora was a dedicated mother, wife and homemaker.
She loved spending time with her family, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed volunteering for different local organizations.
Cora was Methodist by faith and she and Troy are members of Mill Creek United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday, Funeral services will be held at The Randolph Funeral Home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until Noon, the funeral hour.
The Rev. Pam Ritchie will officiate and interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
