Curtis Michael Howard, 46, a former resident of Huttonsville and had recently moved to Mill Creek to care for his mother, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his home. Death was unexpected. He was born Sunday, November 15, 1964 at Baltimore, Md, a son of the late Levi Marshall Howard and Aranna Shrader Howard, who survives. Curtis was also preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Randall Howard. Left to cherish Curtis’ memory are two sons who were the light of his life, Paul Howard, Elkins, and Kyle Howard, Mill Creek, two special in-laws, Bob and Linda Wamsley of Mill Creek, five sisters, Sherry Powell and husband, Scott of Beverly, Pamela Basil and fiance, Stan Wegman of Elkins, Patricia Howard and fiance, Scott Daniels of Beverly, Marcia Tumblin and husband, Jeff of Valley Head, and Crystal Taylor and husband, Ron of Philippi, and many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and friends. Curtis was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, attending Randolph County schools and working as a self-employed contractor. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, ginsenging, trapping, mushrooming, spending time with his sons, and his special place which was a family cabin at Kumbrabow State Forest. He was a Christian by faith. Viewing will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 11AM until 1PM, the funeral hour. Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
