Daisy M. Hawkins, age 88 years, a resident of Beverly, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 in the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center. She was born November 8, 1931 in Elkins, the daughter of the late John S. and Hettie Adamson Kerns. She was twice married, first to Raymond L. Price and then to Elwood D. Hawkins who preceded her in death. Surviving is one son, Everett E. Price and wife Delores Price of Elkins. Two grandchildren, Vincent Price and wife Mary Ann of Norton and Leah Price and husband Roger Wegman of Virginia. Two step grandchildren Priscilla Hornick and Daniel Hornick, both of Elkins. Eight great grandchildren, Nigel Price, Samantha McBride, Sunnie, Sophia, Camille, Gabriella and Isabella Hornick and Braedan French. Five great-great grandchildren, Gage, Greyson, Everly Taylor and Bryer, and Jayden McBride. A very special niece, Alverda Sis Sharp and husband Alfred L. Sharp and sons Adam Sharp and Joey Hedrick. Also preceding her in death was her companion Miles Bill Glendenning who preceded her in death in 2004, along with four brothers and five sisters. Daisy was retired from Elkins Lumber Company where she worked in furniture assembly department. In her spare time Daisy loved to visit family and to work in her many flower gardens. She was a Methodist by faith.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. Linda Roberts will officiate and interment will follow.
