Dan Tracy Hoffman, 51, of Route 1, Moatsville, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, in the Montefiore Hospital University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
He was born March 23, 1951, at Moatsville, a son of Mary M. Blake Hoffman, who survives at Moatsville, and the late Arlin James Hoffman.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are one son, Matthew Jason Hoffman, Philippi; one stepson, Jonathan Crites, Philippi; three brothers, Frank James Hoffman and wife, Dorothy, and David Hoffman, all of Moatsville, and Gary Lee Hoffman and wife, Janet, Belington; two sisters, Anna Lea Isner and husband, Bob, Marietta, Ohio, and Violet R. Campbell, Moatsville; and two grandchildren, Mykal Michelle Sage Hoffman and Tarren Michel Beau Kisner.
Mr. Hoffman was a retired coal miner and construction equipment operator. He attended the Free Gospel Church at Moatsville.
Friends may call at Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel in Belington from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today. In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, his remains will be cremated.
