David Harrison Kerns, 43, entered into eternal rest Monday March 29, 2010. He was born Thursday September 29, 1966 in Parsons, WV, a son of the late Manard Harrison and Venora Summerfield Kerns. He attended the schools of Randolph County. He was a a lifelong resident of Randolph County who enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening. He was Baptist by faith. David owned and operated his own big rig for several years. He was married to the former Debbie Kay Poling who survives in Beverly, WV. In addition to his wife Debbie, David’s survivors include four daughters: Jessica Vita of Elkins, WV, Brandi Rohr of Elkins, WV, Sierra and Tiffany Kerns both at home; three grandchildren; one sister: Wilma Conley and husband Michael of Mobile, AL; one brother: Donald Kerns of Elkins, WV; four nieces: Alicia and Jessica Kerns, Amanda McCluskey and Rebecca Collins and husband Michael Pennington all of Elkins, WV; two nephews: Dominick Humphrey of Elkins, WV and Brian Slabaugh and wife Jessica of Norton, WV and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 3rd, 2010 at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 100 Meadow Lane; Valley Bend, WV. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m Saturday April 3rd, 2010 at the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Terry Cannon officiating.
