David Lee “Dave” Bibey 1958-2021 Obituary
David Lee “Dave” Bibey, 62, a resident of Belington, passed from this life on Monday, January 25th , 2021 at home.
Dave was born Tuesday December 30, 1958, in Elkins, a son of the late Kermit Lee Bibey and Reva June Richardson Bibey.
Left to cherish his memory is his significant other Dena Mallow of Belington, Brothers, James W. Bibey of Elkins, Donald R. Bibey, of Belington, and Timothy A. Bibey of Locust Grove, VA, sisters, Brenda L. Bibey, Victoria D. Bibey, Delores J. Walton, and Virginia C. Helton, all of Locust Grove, VA., eleven nieces and nephews, five step-nieces and nephews, and over twenty great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were one sister, Deborah Lynn Haddix.
Dave was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School, Class of 1977. During his high school years, he was an avid body builder and weightlifter. He also tried his hand at learning to use nun chucks and enjoyed Chuck Norris movies. Dave was considered a true outdoorsman. He and Dena enjoyed riding their four wheelers, hunting, fishing, and ramping in the mountains. When Dave started work, he was a driller in West Virginia and after that he ventured out to Virginia to continue drilling. Then he decided to try working in the home building market where he grew to become an amazing carpenter, building beautiful custom homes for many years and then he moved on to work for Appalachian Log Structures out of Ripley, where he built and remodeled log homes until his retirement that he deserved after years of hard work.
