Deborah Ann Skidmore Maryland, 58, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Tuesday evening, October 1, 2013 at the Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected. Deborah was born Sunday, August 14, 1955 in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Nelson Skidmore and Shirley Jane Lewis Skidmore. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Shirley Jane Snavely of Washington, PA, William Nelson Snavely and fiance, Kelley Williams, and Denise Lyn Snavely, all of Elkins, four step children, Deborah Lockett-catlin of Pittsburgh, PA, Freemont Catlin of Washington, PA, Dewayne Catlin of London, OH, and Kevin Catlin of Washington, PA, one brother, James Skidmore, a former husband, William Hilton Catlin, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Deborah in death was a son, Johnny Catlin. Deborah loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed talking and playing on her phone and getting tattoos. However, one of her favorite things to do was spending time at Wal-mart. Deborah’s request for cremation was honored. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
