Delores Shockey Pritt Crawford, age 92 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Saturday afternoon September 28, 2013 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV.
She was born Friday, April 15, 1921 at Elkins a daughter of the late Anthony and Gladys Shockey Pritt. On July 11, 1945 she was married to Wilson Bryan Crawford who preceded her in death on April 2, 2001. Surviving is one son Marshall Bryan Crawford of Elkins, WV.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death are two brothers William; and Robert Pritt; and one sister Marion “Glendene” Johnson.
She attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Elkins High School. She was an employed at the former G.C Murphy Co and the Rite Aid Pharmacy. In her early years she enjoyed bowling, traveling and was a noted cook.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Thursday afternoon, October, 3 2013 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. James Murphy will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, WV.
