DENNIS EUGENE MCSPADDEN, age 32 years, a resident of Beverly, WV departed this life early Tuesday morning, February 19, 2013 at his home in Beverly, surrounded by his family. Death was attributed to cancer.
He was born Monday, October 27, 1980 at Elkins, WV, a son of Eugene Edward McSpadden of Elkins; and Pamela Louise White McSpadden Peters of Beverly. Also surviving are his companion, Holly; step mother, Nora Ellen McSpadden, Elkins; his step father, Robert Peters, Beverly; two brothers, Mitchell Keith McSpadden and wife Ann, Beverly; Michael Edward McSpadden and wife Roberta, Elkins; one half-brother, Cody Shane McSpadden; two nieces, Mackenzie; and Peyton McSpadden; several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
He attended Elkins High School and the Randolph County Vocational-technical Center. He had worked for Poe Run, Ricottilli and Coastal Lumber Companies as well as other various lumber companies of the area, enjoyed 4-wheeling and camping, and was an avid outdoorsman, especially loving bear hunting and fishing. He was a faithful follower of the WDNE trading post.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1 PM. Pastor Leon Brown will officiate and interment will follow at the Collett Cemetery at Hambleton, WV. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Davis Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Center, 801 Harrison Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241.
