Don L. Arbogast, 65, a former resident of Elkins and for the past 30 years a resident of Ashland, Va., departed this life Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
He was born June 22, 1937, in Glady, a son of the late Sam and Pearl Arbogast.
He is survived by one son, Don Jr. and wife, Cindy; and two daughters, Vickie Plum and husband, Dale, and Cathy Langevin and husband Alan, all of Elkins; five grandchildren, Crystal, Ethan and Logan Arbogast, Jessica Plum and Kyle Langevin; five sisters and eight brothers, Jeff Arbogast, John “Mutt” Arbogast, Dale Arbogast, Betty Webley and Amentha Currence, all of Elkins, Juliet V. Price, Lois A. Hoover, Mary B. Luzader, Robert W. Arbogast and Ira Sam Arbogast, all of Ohio, David R. Arbogast of Texas, Claud D. Arbogast of Tennessee, and Jerry Joe Arbogast of Tunnelton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Arbogast was a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge No. 168 AF & AM and was the past president of the Reedy Creek Ruritan Club.
Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at Concord Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, Va. The Reid Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Don L. Arbogast.
