Dora S. Woodford 1906-2003 Obituary
Dora S. Woodford, 96, a resident of 346 S. Main St., Philippi, passed away June 30, 2003, at Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care.
She was born Dec. 7, 1906, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late William F. and Ida C. (Golden) Daughtery.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Shirely J. and husband, Donald Marsh, Moatsville; one son, James E. Stone, Philippi; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry J. Stone in February 1963, and Goodloe Woodford in June 1976; one daughter, Barbara Ann Cochran; five sisters and three brothers.
She was a housewife and worked 25 years with the Senior Companion Program. She was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church.
Friends were received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi Tuesday and today until 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Dr. Darl Docterman and the Rev. Richard Hepler officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
