Dorothy “Dottie” Irene Ware Weese, 84, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Sunday, January 30, 2022, at home.

Dottie was born Tuesday, November 23, 1937, in Valley Head, a daughter of the late Virgil Adam Ware and Iva Inez Ware. On June 20, 1959, she married Herman “Gail” Weese who survives at home.

Also left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Kathy Weese of Beverly, four sons, Randy Weese of Valley Bend, Jeff Weese and wife Kristie of Huttonsville, Chris Weese and wife Becky of Beverly, Greg Weese and wife Dawn of Beverly, seven grandchildren, Chelsea Riley and husband Kyle, Megan and Teaghan Weese all of Beverly, Cory Weese and fiancé Chelsea of Dailey, Brennon Weese, Paige White and Cody Campbell all of Adolph, and Lynnlee Brown and husband Gary of Dailey, four siblings, Shirley Amos and husband Junior of Valley Head, Doris Doyle and husband Ronnie of Mace, Donald Ware and wife Diane of Valley Head, Keith Ware and wife Rachael of Huttonsville, several nieces and nephews, and one sister in law, Karen Ware of Elkins.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one brother Arlie Ware.

Dottie was a 1956 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School. She loved children and babysat countless children in her home for thirty years. Dottie loved to cook, baking cakes, making pepperoni rolls, and for years made the hot dog chili for little league and Homestead School. During vacations and free time, she enjoyed camping with her grandkids, visiting Nags Head, and working with her husband Gail at the Sherwood Lake Campground. Dottie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #62 in Beverly, a member of the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Beverly United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 11 am until 1 pm, the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman. At the family’s request, masks are required for those attending. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Dottie’s memory to the Valley Bend United Methodist Church Po Box 417 Valley Bend WV 26293 or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/ or to your charity of choice.
