Dorothy H. “Dottie” Schabinger, 78, of 26 Jay St., Buckhannon, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Mrs. Schabinger was born March 22, 1924, in Linwood, Md., a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Eva John Haines.
On March 11, 1950, she married J. Robert Schabinger, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Miriam Leatherman, Old Fields; one son, J. William “Bill” Schabinger, Berthoud, Colo.; one brother, Lewis Haines, Linwood, Md.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Haines.
Mrs. Schabinger was a homemaker. She was a member of Federated Womens Club. She attended First United Methodist Church and was a member of the church circle.
Memorial services will be at First United Methodist Church Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to West Virginia International 4-h Youth Exchange (IFYE) in care of WVU Foundation Inc., 818 Knapp Hall, PO Box 6031 Morgantown, W.Va. 26506-6031.
