Duane Richard Marsh Obituary 1973-2020
Mr. Duane Richard Marsh, age 47, a resident of Morgantown and formerly of Philippi WV, departed this life Sunday evening November 8, 2020 in the Mon General Hospital at Morgantown.
Although he had been in declining health, death was unexpected.
He was born September 13, 1973 at Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Harold Richard “Dickie” and Carol Lee Bostic Marsh.
Duane is survived by three sisters; Valerie Lacaria and husband Anthony, Tammy Cross and fiancé Michael Lewis all of North Carolina, and Laurie Austin and husband Bruce of Philippi. Additional survivors include his loving companion; Brenda Pangle of Morgantown, WV, step-mother; Cora Kathleen Marsh of Philippi, step- brother; Gerry Loudin of Bridgeport, WV, nephews; Joshua, Daniel and Anthony Lacaria, Thomas and Jesse Duane Austin, one niece; Emily Cross. Numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Duane was a 1991graduate of Philip Barbour High School and had attended Fairmont State College. He attended and graduated Motorcycle Mechanics Institute of Orlando, Florida, where he received his certification in motorcycle and various craft repair. He had worked at different repair shops, lastly being employed by Busy B’s Cycle Center in Morgantown. Duane had a great love for motorcycles and the repair process and his life ambition was to work on a professional motocross team. He was very meticulous in the
way he kept and cleaned his tools while working as a technician. Duane was a Protestant by faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 n. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 11 am -2 pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with James Steele officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment of his cremains will be at a later date in the Marsh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Tacy Crossroads Cemetery/marsh Addition c/o Tracey Howell 532 Laurel Creek Road Moatsville, WV 26405.
