Edgar Lynn Shiflett, Jr 1949-2010 Obituary
Edgar Lynn Shiflett, Jr., 61, a resident of Mill Creek entered into eternal rest Saturday February 13, 2010.
He was born January 11, 1949 at Mill Creek, a son of the late Edgar Lynn Shiflett Sr. and Mary Rosie Taylor. Edgar was twice married. He was first married to Brenda Dennison and then to Barbara Shiflett.
Surviving are one son; Jeffrey Scott Shiflett of Canton, Ohio and one daughter; Kristen Lynn Shiflett of Canton, Ohio. Also surviving are one brother; Roger Shiflett and wife Patricia of Mill Creek, four sisters; Judy Currence and husband Larry of Mill Creek, Lea Timura of Ohio, Retha Shiflett of Ohio and Betty Watkins and husband John of Ohio, four grandchildren; Jayden Ferguson, Dakota Ferguson, Dominick Ferguson and Kaleigh Ferguson all of Ohio.
Mr. Shiflett attended Valley Independent Baptist Church. Edgar was a veteran, having served in the US Army for two years. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar and in earlier years he enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 16th from 2pm until 4pm and from 6pm until 8pm at The Randolph Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Valley Independent Baptist Church in Huttonsville Wednesday February 17th at 1pm with Pastor Frank Stanley officiating.
Interment will follow at the Jerusalem Cemetery.
