Edna Ruth Henderson 1911-2002 Obituary
Edna Ruth Henderson, 90, of Williamstown, and a former resident of the Tallmansville Road in Buckhannon, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Sutton, a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Lewis Barnett.
On Nov. 19, 1931, she was married to F. Flay Henderson, who preceded her in death in May of 1991.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary Henderson of Buckhannon; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lenny Rabatin of Williamstown; three grandsons, Donald Henderson Jr. of Buckhannon, Jeff Rabatin of Williamstown and Craig Rabatin of Parkersburg; one granddaughter, Deborah Henderson DeGroff of Parsons; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. She was the last living member of her family.
She and her husband operated the Henderson General Store on the Tallmansville Road for 32 years. She was a member of the Tennerton United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel today from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William C. Eskew Jr. and the Rev. Carus Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park.
