OBITUARY: EDWARD E. LANTZ Edward Earl “Eddie” Lantz, 75, of Belington, died Sunday, July 4, in the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center, following an extended illness. He was born May 29, 1935, at Buckhannon, Upshur County, a son of the late William Ellet and Edna Clarice (Armstrong) Lantz. On October 7, 1978, he married the former Inez M. Spencer who survives at Laurel View Apartments, Belington. Also surviving are one son, Jason E. Lantz, Stuarts Draft, Va.; one sister, Alice Lumen, Pineville, N.C., one brother, William Lantz, in Ohio. He was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Edna Perine and one brother, John Lantz. Mr. Lantz retired from the laundry department of the Broaddus Hospital and was a former employee of the Myers Clinic laundry. He attended the Faith Way Baptist Church and enjoyed maintaining his yard and listening to classic country music. Grave side services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 7, at the Simpson Cemetery. Pastor Downing Gregory will officiate. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
