Effie Ellen Kuhn 1958-2021 Obituary
Effie Ellen Losh Kuhn, age 63 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV, departed this life early Sunday morning, July 18, 2021, at Davis Medical Center at Elkins, WV, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Sunday, June 15, 1958, at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Claude and Elsie Nadene Huffman Losh. On November 17, 1975, at Kitzmiller, MD, she was married to Terry Blaine Kuhn, Sr., who survives. They celebrated forty five years of marriage.
Also surviving are three sons, Terry Blaine Kuhn, Jr., and Ciara of Hambleton, Gregory James Kuhn and wife Donna of Elkins and Jeremy Ryan Kuhn and Mary Alice of Parsons; one brother, David Raymond Losh of Rosendorf; six grandchildren, Terra Kuhn, Jayden Kuhn, Maliyah Smith, Abigail Nettles, Katie Surguy and K’Hori Miller; several nieces & nephews; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.
Preceding her in death are two sisters, Claudine and Rose Ann Losh; and one grandson, Maximus Nettles.
She attended Parsons High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Parsons. Effie enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and spending time in her flower garden. She loved supporting her family especially her grandchildren in sports. She had a heart of gold, was a sweet and caring lady and never met a stranger.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 PM. The Rev. Gregory Smith will officiate and interment will follow at the Fansler Cemetery at Hendricks, WV.
