Eleanor Ruth Press Neamand 1930-2011 Obituary
Eleanor Ruth Press Neamand, 80, a resident of Beverly and for the past year, a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center passed from this life Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2011 at the nursing home.
She was born on Tuesday, December 20, 1930 at Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence Press and Emma Smith Press.
At Philadelphia, PA, she was married to William Neamand who survives.
Others left to cherish Eleanor’s memory are two daughters, Lynda Perella of New Jersey and Deborah Gowers and husband, Paul, of Beverly, two sons, William Neamand, Jr. and wife, Elaine of South Carolina and James Neamand and wife, Mary Carol of Pennsylvania, one sister, Muriale Martino and husband, Jack of Pennsylvania, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was one son, Patrick Neamand and one sister, Thelma Jean Reed.
Eleanor attended the schools of Philadelphia and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was Catholic by faith.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 12 noon until 2PM, the funeral hour.
Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound, Lori Smith, will officiate and interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery.
