Ella Jane Lowe, age 95, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center in Elkins, WV.
She was born September 8, 1925, in Randolph County, WV, a daughter of the late John and Abbie Louise Moss Guthrie.
On August 25, 1942, she married Edgar Benson Lowe who preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Spradley; an infant sister, Ruth Louise Guthrie and two brothers, Sterling and Glen Guthrie. She is survived by one son, John A. Lowe of ERCC; one daughter, Linda L. Ogden and husband Howard of Hinkleville, WV; one grandson, Dean A. Ogden of Prestonburg, KY; one granddaughter, Heather A. Ogden of Hinkleville; one great-granddaughter, Shelby Ogden of Winchester, KY; two sisters, Alma Rawls of VA and Mildred Mullikin and husband Jerry of Buckhannon and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Lowe was a homemaker and a member of Nay Chapel United Methodist Church.
The family would like to thank ERCC for all the kindness and caring they showed for Ella Jane for the last 2 ½ years.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 12 Noon until 1 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Central Upshur Lions Club or to a charity of your choice in memory of Ella Jane.
Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
