Elwood Dwight Poling Elwood Dwight Poling, 90, of Meadowville Community, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at his home following an unexpected illness. He was born December 27, 1921, at Philippi, a son of the late Winfred H. And Linnie Grace (England) Poling. On August 27, 1948, he married the former Mary Rosaliea Findley, who preceded him in death on January 4, 2006. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Heaton and husband, Joseph, Bay City , Tex., Diane McDonald and husband, Kevin, Vincent, Oh.; one son, Michael Poling and wife, Mary Jane, Bernardsville, N.J.; one brother, Baxter L. Poling, Philippi; five grandchildren, Erron McDonald, Jonathon McDonald, Michael Poling, Matthew Poling and Colleen Poling. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edgar Milton Poling, Herbert Marshall Poling, Clarence Eugene Poling and Donald Gene Poling. Mr. Poling was a farmer and had been self-employed as a water well driller. He was a member of the Central Chapel United Methodist Church and the N.R.A. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 13, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. John Flynn will officiate and interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour, on Monday. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements
