Eula M. Green 1923-2003 Obituary
Eula M. Green, 79, a resident of Valley Head, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at 8:25 a.m. in Ruby Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Nov. 19. She had been in failing health since 1979, however death was unexpected.
She was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late George A. and Dola Jane Bowers Bennett.
In December 1941, she was united in marriage to Floyd H. Green, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Surviving are her only son, Okey D. “Derold” Singleton and wife, Hilde, of Avon, Ohio; one sister, Euna “Bee” Ball of Monterville; three grandchildren, Teresa Mucke, Kimberly Hanchosky and Cynthia Frank. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda B. Price.
She was a former cook at Hickory Lick School. She was then employed by West Liberty College in housekeeping. She was a homemaker and loved to garden.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday after 6 p.m. On Wednesday, she will be moved to Point Mountain Union Mission Church for visitation from noon until 1 p.m. the funeral hour. The Rev. Marshall Williams, pastor of the church and the Rev. Richard Haney will officiate. Interment will follow at Valley Head Cemetery at Valley Head. The F.E.
