Eunice Wegman 1934-2003 Obituary
Eunice Wegman, 68, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Wednesday, Feb 26, 2003, at Davis Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Tippie Bender.
She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Wegman, who survives in Mill Creek.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard “Rick” Wegman of West Virginia and William “Bill” Wegman of Virginia; one daughter, Julia Ann Wegman Smith of Virginia; five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Weese of Maryland, Janet Norburg of Virginia, Mrs. Ken (Juanita) Sproat of Maryland, Norma Wegman of North Carolina, and Mrs. John (Jo Ellen) Seaborn of Virginia; three brothers, James Bender and wife, Thelma, Bob Bender and wife, Catherine, and Larry White and wife, Cheryl, all of Virginia; one brother-in-law, Shirley Carr of Maryland; and a stepmother, Arlene Bender of Virginia.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Holly Wegman, Jenifer Wegman and Kyle Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were two brothers, Woodrow Bender and Irving Ray Bender; and one sister, Estel Carr.
Mrs. Wegman worked as a meat wrapper for Pantry Pride, Food Fair, A&P and Food Lion for 34 years.
She then worked for Snowshoe for seven years.
Eunice was faithful to her church and had worked for 23 years for the nursery at Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg, Va.
She was also a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Beverly.
She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She will never be forgotten and will always be loved by all.
Friends will be received at the F. E. Runner Funeral Home on Saturday after 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Bill Hopkins and the Rev. Michael Allen will officiate and interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Eunice Wegman.
