Eva Mae Poe Daniels, 84, a former resident of Dailey, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at 4:14 p.m. in the Swisher Home Care in Beverly. She had been a resident there for the past few weeks.
She was born July 2, 1918, at Kerens, a daughter of the late Urban D. and Lola Leanna Edmond Poe.
On Oct. 1, 1947, in Oakland, Md., she was united in marriage to Bruce “Dee” Daniels, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1986.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lola Collier and husband, Frank, of Mill Creek; one sister, Norma Wilfong of Elkins; one brother-in-law, Herbert Daniels of Dailey; two sisters-in-law, Alta Poe of Elkins, and Arlene Poe of Arlington, Texas; two grandchildren, Johanna Smith and husband, Paul III, of Mill Creek, and Joshua Collier, at home; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were two sisters, Cornelia Workman and Jean Wilmoth; two brothers, Urban and David Poe; and two half sisters, Sylvia Channell and Artie Nutter.
Mrs. Daniels was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel today after 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner chapel Friday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Frank Collier, pastor of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens (formerly the IOOF Cemetery) in Elkins.
