Johnie Junior Knabenshue 1929-2020 ObituaryEvelyn Ida Knabenshue, age 91, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Mansfield Place of Philippi, WV.
She was born August 19, 1927, in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Carroll and Virginia Westfall Karickhoff.
On April 29, 1947, she married Johnie Knabenshue, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John Michael Knabenshue and wife, Lue, Thomas Patrick Knabenshue and wife, Becky and Timothy Kirk Knabenshue and wife, Karen; one daughter, Johnna Carol “Cookie” Lowther and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, John Knabenshue and wife, Becky, Mike Lowther, Krista, Karissa and Kirk Knabenshue, Jed Knabenshue, Jeremy Knabenshue and wife, Cassie, BJ Knabenshue and wife, Traci and Cara Napier and husband, Malcolm; great-grandchildren, Sierra Lowther, Kayla, Reagen and Madison Knabenshue, Lily, Derrick and Hera Knabenshue, Lukas and Nora Knabenshue; beloved dog, Katie; nieces, Sharon Nilsen, Tonia Earley, Coral Wichard, Heather Stewart and Debra Smith; nephews, Jay and Steven Karickhoff and sisters-in-law, Mary Karickhoff and Barbara Knabenshue.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Karickhoff and one brother-in-law, Howard Knabenshue.
Mrs. Knabenshue attended Heaston United Methodist Church in Hodgesville, WV, and she worked as a teller at Adrian Buckhannon Bank.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon
