Evelyn Rose McDaniels 1929-2021 Obituary
Evelyn Rose McDaniels, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, September 17, 2021, at Genesis Healthcare in Grafton, WV. She was born August 22, 1929, in Newlon, WV, a daughter of the late Omar Dane and Mildred Lucille Douglas Eskew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Denver McDaniels; two brothers, Gabriel and Lyle Eskew; four sisters, Juanita Howes, Janette Lamb, Phyllis Cutright and Martha Eskew and one son-in-law, Forman William Reger. She is survived by four sons, Melvin McDaniels and Reona Holliday of Rootstown, OH, Denver Lee McDaniels of Warren, OH, Nelson McDaniels of Franklin, KY and Rodney McDaniels of Newton Falls, OH; two daughters, Frances Love of Newton Falls and Patricia Reger of Buckhannon; ten grandchildren, Kayla of OH, Billy and Barb of Buckhannon, Valerie and husband Scott, Francine of Buckhannon, Renee and husband Marc of Buckhannon, Amy and husband Daniel of Buckhannon, Justin of OH, Brandon of OH, Michael of Buckhannon and Rodney and wife Missy of OH; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Sherman Eskew of FL; four sisters, Heather Huff and husband Eston of VA, Hazel Krech and husband Bud of VA, Linda Westfall and husband Joe of Buckhannon and Cheryl Martney and husband Lynn of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McDaniels was a Methodist by faith and a homemaker. She loved music, enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with her family. Friends will be received for a graveside service Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 1 PM at Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery in Selbyville, WV. The Rev. J. Edward McDaniels will be officiating the service. Those wishing to process to the service are encouraged to meet at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home no later than 11:45 AM. Per the family’s request, masks will be required. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
