Forrest S. Perry, age 85, of Mt. Union Rd., WV passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 in the loving arms of his wife, while under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was born April 4, 1925 in Tenmile, WV a son of the late Lewis and LaUna Hoover Perry. On July 2, 1966 he married Donis L. Arbogast who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David Perry and companion Lil of Yukon, PA and Randall Perry and companion Theresa of Buckhannon; two daughters, Linda Lamb of Richland Town, PA and Barbara Curry and husband Michael of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Bryan Lamb of Richland Town and Brandon Curry his grandfathers special buddy of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Bridgette Lamb of PA; and one sister, Irene Waugaman of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one infant sister and one brother Wilbert Perry. Forrest served with 199th Battalion Battery B Artillery during WW II and was honorably discharged. He was retired from Upshur Coals since 1987. He was an avid foxhunter until 2 years ago when his health began to fail. He was also a horse lover who enjoyed taking his team of horses with family and friends on wagon rides and camping out. He also loved having cookouts and picnics while spending time with his family. Forrest was a Christian and attended Faith Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park. Buckhannon VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion, DAV Chapters #5 & #36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
