Frederick Brian Daugherty, age 51, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at his home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was born August 24, 1960 in Brookville, PA, a son of John Daugherty Sr. of Buckhannon and the late Mary B. Himes Collins. On April 16, 1994 he married June Conley Daugherty who survives. In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by one son, Kody Daugherty of Buckhannon; one step son, David Dewey of Weston, WV; two step daughters, Tiffany Alfred of Pittsburg, PA and Kelsey Merriman of Weston; four grandchildren; three brothers, John Daugherty, Jr., and wife Diane of Buckhannon; Vernon Daugherty and wife Sue Ellen of Buckhannon and Jim Daugherty and wife Kelly of Buckhannon; two sisters, Mary Biser and husband Ted of Lorentz, WV and Suz Daugherty of Weston; several nieces and nephews; one step brother, Dave Collins and wife Joyce of Weston; two step sisters, Loretta Jane Watson and husband Eric of GA and Dawn Workman of Buckhannon; step mother, June Daugherty of Buckhannon and adopted sister, Janan Hamilton of Beverly, WV. He began his work in the oil fields with Alamco followed by Columbia Gas and S.W. Jack and was currently working for Chesapeake Midstream. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids. He was also a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
