William David Standridge Jr., 33, a resident of East Dailey, passed away Monday afternoon, April 15, 2002, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born April 9, 1969, in Elkins, a son of William David McCoy Standridge and Pamela Elaine Elza Standridge, who survive in Beverly.
On Feb. 14, 1993, he was married to the former Jody Lynn Rose, who survives at East Dailey.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tara and Amanda Standridge of Elkins; three sons, Dustin Standridge of Elkins, and Brandon and Billy Standridge, both at home; two brothers, Samuel Wayne Ross of Beverly, and Paul Andrew Standridge of Ripley; two sisters, Pamela Lynn Wood of West Union, and Cassie Lynn Standridge of Beverly; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a former employee of Southern States of Elkins and was employed by Elkins Distributing at the time of his illness. He was a member of the 201st Field Artillery Unit of the West Virginia National Guard for eight years and was associated with the Jerusalem United Methodist Church at Philippi
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Rapking officiating. Interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens.
