GENEVA LOU THOMAS, age 66 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Tuesday evening, February 16, 2010 at her home.
She was born Monday, June 21, 1943 at Coalton, WV a daughter of the late Jesse Brown Thomas and Myrtle Belle Poling Thomas. She had never married. Surviving are three brothers, Forrest “Brownie” Thomas, Clarksburg; Bernard Lee Thomas, Flatwoods; Charles Lindon Thomas, Mabie; two sisters, Genevieve Warner, Philippi; Betty Johnson, Culpepper, VA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Robert, Arnold and Jesse Thomas.
She attended the schools at Coalton, was a caretaker and loved to watch wrestling and NASCAR.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 PM, Saturday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 1:30 PM. The Reverend Stella Faye Moyer will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
