Geoffrey Tyler Jackson, 64, a resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Elkins, passed from this life Tuesday, March 2, 2021, under the care of Vitas Hospice in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Geoff was born Monday, September 3, 1956, in Elkins, a son of the late Ray Jackson and Helen L. Grimes Jackson.
Left to cherish his memory are two children, Tyler and Mak Jackson of Elkins, four brothers, Butch, Tim, Sam, and Chris Jackson, four sisters, Cynthia Alexander, Valerie Pike, Deb Corhan, and Denise Jackson.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was one brother, Arthur Jackson.
Geoff was a 1975 graduate of Elkins High School and then served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. Prior to becoming disabled, he had been employed in the coal mines, the timber industry, and construction. Geoff was Baptist by faith.
Geoff’s request for cremation was honored in Florida and a memorial service is being planned in Randolph County.
