Georgia B. Haddix, 84, a resident of Lavalette Avenue, Elkins, passed away at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in the Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1918, at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Percy L. and Carrie B. Armstrong Haddix.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn L. Potts Brown, Triangle, Va.; two sons, Gerald M. Potts, Maryville, Tenn., and David W. Potts of Elkins; one brother, Bryan Jackson Haddix of Orlando, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Glendine Marie Potts Minners; two sisters, Virginia Daniels and Frances Wiese; and one brother, James Haddix.
She was employed by Davis Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement in 1983 and was a Baptist by faith. Her family will love and cherish the many memories that she leaves behind. God bless you Mother.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parli and Pastor J. David Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
