Gerald H. Arbogast 1947-2003 Obituary
Gerald H. Arbogast, 55, died Monday, March 24, 2003.
Mr. Arbogast, a native of Elkins, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He lived in Galax, Va. for a number of years prior to moving to Beaufort County in 1981. He had worked as a supervisor at Singer Furniture Co. in Chocowinity, and for the past five years had worked with his son in automotive paint and bodywork. He was a member of Chocowinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Timothy M. Arbogast of Grimesland, N.C.; one daughter, Cynthia B. Arbogast of the home; two grandchildren, Nicole Lahocki and Dillon Arbogast; his mother, Leona Davis Pingley of Mill Creek; a brother, Lawrence Arbogast of Roanoke, Va.; and three sisters, Pattie A. Hammerlink of Orlando, Fla., Carolyn A. Higgins of Elkins, and Joyce A. King of Fredericksburg, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilkerson Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Arbogast, 7510 Pitt St., Grimesland, N.C. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel in Greenville, N.C. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
