Gladys A. Workman Harner, 81, of High Point, N.C., formerly of the Walkersville community, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in High Point Regional Hospital, High Point, N.C.
She was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Opha Carl and Mattice Jane Davis McNemar.
She was married to Clarence Michael Workman, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Naomi Jane Smith of Sophia, and Nancy Carol Workman of Trinity; three sons, James Michael Workman of Charlotte, Clarence Steven Workman of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Richard Lee Workman of Weston; one sister, Norma Lee McCauley of Ireland; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, High Point, N.C.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Long Point Cemetery, Walkersville. Alkire Funeral Chapel of Ireland is in charge of the arrangements for Gladys A. Workman Harner.
