Glenn E. Hinkle, 88, of 153 Captain Point, St. Augustine, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, in Mariner Health Care Center in St. Augustine, Fla.
Mr. Hinkle was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Queens, a son of the late Hugh and Lola Cutright Hinkle.
He married Ocie V. Lang Hinkle, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Gillespie, Fairmont, Iris Metzger, St. Augustine, Fla., and Laura Jean Orem, Ormond Beach, Fla.; three sons, Robert G. Hinkle, Fredricksburg, Va., Kenneth Hinkle, Nokesville, Va., and J. Randall Hinkle, Statesboro, Ga.; three sisters, Joan “Eleanor” Hall and Rosemary “Junie” Golden, both of Morgantown, and Sharon Kay White, Michigan; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hinkle worked for many years as a salesman for Fairmont Wall Plaster Co. After moving to Manassas, Va., and prior to retirement, he was a salesman for Brown & Hoeff Hardware in Manassas, Va.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew Standrich, the Rev. Frank Spevock and the Rev. Ken London officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
