Harbor Freight Drill Master 4 1/2 Inch Grinder – Review and Upgrades
I bought my first Drill Master Grinder about 6 years ago and used it a lot and really liked it
I picked up another for $5 on some sale Harbor Freight had, and kept it in reserve if the original ever broke – its still not been used
The only problem I have found is the gear box does not have enough grease and that makes the gears louder than they should be, so I did a video on how to replace the grease in the gear box
After replacing the grease, I did a 6 hour torture test on the grinder when I reshaped a rail road tie to be an anvil – the grinder was quieter than before and it had no problems running for 6 hours
Harbor Freight released an updated version of the grinder that had minor differences, like they moved to a new manufacturer and updated the case formers – it operated the same
Harbor Freight has since discontinued the Drill Master Grinder and rebranded it into the Warrior Line, most Drill Master products that are still around are being switched over to the Warrior Line, at 2x the price
