OBITUARY: SEDALIA “SALLY” FREEMAN Hattie Sedalia “Sally” Freeman, 94, of Moatsville, died Monday evening, March 26, in Mansfield Place, following an extended illness. She was born March 18, 1918, at Moatsville, a daughter of the late John Wesley (Sr.) and Hattie Vilena (Sturms) Nestor. On December 9, 1933, she was married to Leo Benton Freeman, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1963. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jean Wilson, Moatsville; three sons, Arnold L. Freeman and wife, Janet, Moatsville, Robert W. Freeman and wife, Wanda Grace, Parsons, James R. Freeman and wife, Dottie, Philippi; one sister, Mary Louise Gainer, Red Lodge, MT; one brother, Richard H. Nestor, Rivesville; ten grandchildren, Cheryl Bailey, Rhonda Burner, David Freeman, Robert Mark Freeman, Rick Freeman, Julia Reed, Andy Freeman, Sandra Taylor, Sharon Lanham and Sheila Shaw; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Debra Freeman and Vickie Freeman Bright; by one great grandson, Robbie Freeman; by five brothers, William D. Nestor, George H. Nestor, Robert J. Nestor, James E. Nestor Sr., and John W. Nestor Jr.; and by one son-in-law, D. Dale Wilson. Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and farm work and had worked with her husband cutting timber. She was a member of the Kasson United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Kenny Kendall and the Rev. John Flynn will officiate and interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Friday. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
