Hazel B. Balducci, 93, a resident of Route 2, Belington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, following a five month illness. She was born April 25, 1916, at Moatsville, a daughter of the late Jacob G. And Mary E. Kines Hovatter. On April 17, 1948, she was married to Alfred Balducci, who preceded her in death on May 27, 1987. Survivors include one niece, Geraldine Squarcette of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and Wayne and Judy Freeman, with whom she had made her home for the past several months. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sidney Ethel Dennison; and by three brothers, Emmett Hovatter, Edward Hovatter and James B. Hovatter. Mrs. Balducci was a homemaker and was a former employee of the housekeeping department at Broaddus Hospital. She attended the Calvary Mission Church in Belington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, from the Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave. in Belington. Pastor Wayne D. Freeman and Pastor Howard Biller will officiate and interment will follow in Barbour Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, on Tuesday. Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
