Helen Margaret Sterling Sparks, 82, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the West Virginia Caring Hospice Center in Elkins.
Helen was born Monday, May 23, 1938, in Turner Douglas, a daughter of the late Clarence Sterling and Alberta Jamison Sterling. On September 23, 1958, in Valley Head, she married Jake Sparks, who survives.
Also left to cherish her memory are two children Rodney Sparks and Margaret Swecker, both of Elkins, two grandchildren, Robert and Jason Sparks, and three great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Blaice, and Anthony Sparks.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were four siblings, Betty Waggy, Virginia Channell, Trudy Stewart, and Buck Sterling.
Helen enjoyed attending church, shopping, travelling and cooking.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 11 am until Noon, the funeral hour. Interment will take place in Valley Head Cemetery.
