HOMER R. MOYER Homer Richard Moyer, 76, of Berryburg Community, Rt. #1, Flemington, died Thursday, April 19, at the Grafton City Hospital. His death was unexpected. He was born December 14, 1935, at Flemington, a son of the late Wade and Hazel Louise (Bonnett) Moyer. On April 5, 1972, he married the former Nora Bell Croston, who survives at their home. Also surviving are one daughter, Charlene (Shawn) Yates, Morgantown; three granddaughters, Latasha (Allan) Keener, Philippi, Victoria Hahn and Elizabeth Hahn, both of Kingwood; two brothers, Junior Moyer, Charleston, Gary (Diane) Moyer, Grafton; and a special friend, Arley Cook. Mr. Moyer was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired as a coal truck driver in 1998 and formerly worked in the Ford Motor assembly plant in Lorain, OH. He was Apostolic by faith and attended the Olive Hill Apostolic Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 23, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Ezik Norris and the Rev. Troy McCartney will officiate and interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon, the funeral hour, on Monday.
