Ida Edith Feola Amalfitano, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 14, 1913 at Montegalo, Italy a daughter of the late Samuel Feola, Sr. and Louise DeAngelis Feola. She married Vincent Amalfitano who preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter Ann Marino of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Mark Marino of Morgantown, WV and Vincent Marino of Buckhannon; two great granddaughters Sara and Rachael Marino both of Morgantown; one sister Catherine Hinkle of NC and one brother Gus Feola of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter Louise Margaret Amalfitano, one sister Mary Andregg, three brothers, Dominick, Sam and Frank Feola. Mrs. Amalfitano was a seamstress and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Ladies of the Moose # 598, Ladies Auxillary of Buckhannon VFW Post #3663 and the Strawberry Squares. She was a life long member of the International Garment Workers Union and worked her entire career in the garment district of New York City. Friends will be received Monday, March 1, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to begin at 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Nikodem, S.M. as the celebrant. Burial will follow at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling- St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
