Ina Grace Freeman, 70, of Route 2, Belington, died Monday, May 27, 2002, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following a recent illness.
She was born Sept. 3, 1931, at Moatsville, a daughter of the late Clarence Gordon “Shorty” and Della Lillian Cline Price.
On Aug. 20, 1949, she was married to Ramon Durl Freeman, who survives at Cortland Acres, Thomas.
Also surviving are three daughters, Macel Louise Auvil and husband, Roger, Philippi, Judy Ann Hymes and husband, Jack, Belington, and Grace Marie Freeman and companion, “T” Dadisman Jr., Philippi; one son, Wayne Dwight Freeman and wife, Judy Lynn, Belington; five grandchildren, Danielle Ann Auvil, Wayne Scott Freeman, Brandi Lynette Hymes, Chasity Louise Ware and Megan Amber Dadisman; six great-grandchildren, Zachary Tyler Freeman, MacKenzie Jade Freeman, Adam Joseph Neal Graham, John Joseph Graham III, Skylar Dawn Ware and Dustin Tyler Ware; three brothers, and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Eva Price, Moatsville, William N. and Pauline Price, Philippi, and John E. and Idola Price, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Dorothy Godwin, Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Mackey (Shirley) Laulis, Philippi; and three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Price, Freda Price and Ruth Price.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Price; four brothers, Robert Price, Herbert Earl Price, George Arnold Price and Clarence Burl Price; one brother-in-law, Elbert Godwin; and two granddaughters, Monica Faye Freeman and Elizabeth Diane Freeman.
Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and farm wife. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed working with ceramics. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended the Moatsville Free Gospel Church, the Central Chapel United Methodist Church and the Calvary Mission Church at Belington.
Friends may call at Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi from noon until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Poling officiating. Interment will follow in Central Chapel Cemetery.
