Isabelle Mae Jenkins Shockey, 75, a resident of Halltown, since August 1993, passed from this life Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center. She was born Friday, April 15, 1938, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late James Albert Jenkins and Frances Marie Lillie McCauley Jenkins. On December 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to the late Charles E. Shockey Sr. who preceded her in death. Left to cherish Isabelle’s memory is one daughter, Peggy Dickerson and husband, Jay, of Charlotte Hall, Md.; two sons, Charles Shockey Jr of Halltown, and Albert Shockey of Falling Waters, and a sister, Beth Skinner of Dailey. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Somer Holland, Chelsea Headlee, Jay Dickerson II, and Joshua Dickerson. She also is survived by one great-grandchild Curtis Reed Headlee III who was born on her birthday April 15. Preceding her in death were four brothers Cullen B. Jenkins, Garnet H. Jenkins, Rutherford C. Jenkins, James V. Jenkins, and four sisters Viola B. Skinner, Violet R Jenkins, Evelyn L. Bonnell, and Doris L. Daniels. Isabelle had attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked for the Federal Government. She finished her career as a Personnel Security Specialist with the Department of Defense and retired with 25 years service. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star Isabelle’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at the Mill Creek United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:30PM. Rev. Bonnie Starkey will officiate and inurnment will follow at the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jerusalem United Methodist Church, c/o Evelyn Jenkins, HC 58 Box 64, Mill Creek, WV 26280 in memory of Isabelle M. Shockey.
