James Calvin “Jimmy” Vance Jr. 1948-2022 Obituary
James Calvin “Jimmy” Vance, Jr., 73, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
Jimmy was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1948, in Whitmer, a son of the late James Calvin Vance, Sr. and Shirley Irene Graham Vance who survives.
Jimmy is survived by a son, Michael Earl Vance of Elkins, two grandchildren, Branson and Adriana Vance, four brothers, Gary Wayne Vance, and Steven Patrick Vance, both of Elkins, John Michael Vance of Grafton, and David Lee Vance of Beverly, two sisters, Debi Lynn Vance and Marilyn Faye Harris both of Elkins, Sheila Ann Vance, and Sharon Kay Campbell and fiancé, Greg Wilcox of Mt. Claire, several nieces and nephews, and one special nephew, Hendrix Gray Harvey of Belpre, OH.
Jimmy was preceded in death by four sisters, Diana Ruth Pudder, Michele Lee Pennington, Lana Susan Vance, Phyllis Jean Vance and two brothers, Donald Eugene Vance and Russell Dean Vance.
Jimmy was a graduate of Harman High School with the class of 1966 and had worked many places as a mechanic. He loved tinkering around on vehicles. He was always the life of the party. He loved his family and was most often seen chauffeuring his mother around town.
Services for Jimmy are private.
