James David Rembold, Sr. 1941-2021 Obituary
James “Jim” David Rembold Sr., 80, of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2021, in Largo, MD due to a motor vehicle accident. He was born June 6, 1941, in Preston, WV, the son of Theodore Russell and Wilma Agnes (Feather) Rembold.
Jim was a 1959 graduate of Aurora High School. After graduating from high school Jim moved with his wife from West Virginia to Washington D.C. After relocating, Jim began several business ventures. He was an entrepreneur all his life and passionate about his work. He continued education throughout his life, and along with several other achievements he was an enrolled agent for the IRS. He was the owner of family run businesses that included both of his sons. Throughout his life Jim owned and managed multiple rental properties. He owned 3 gas stations, and an accounting firm. Jim was enthusiastic about his work and chose never to retire.
Jim was an avid train collector and John Deere tractor enthusiast. He attended Riverdale Baptist Church for 40 years. He had several hobbies, but the thing he loved to do the most was to spend time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to celebrate his family’s accomplishments and be there to support them.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, Judy Carr Rembold, whom he married on July 2, 1960. Also surviving are two sons, James David Rembold, Jr. and wife Dana, and Jeffrey Scott Rembold and wife Kristine; Grandchildren, Jessica Rembold, Courtney Rembold, Morgan Rembold, and James David Rembold III, Sarah Teel, James Ross, and Zachary Ross; great grandchildren, Mariah Smith and Donavan Oliver; a sister, Sandy Sue Kisner. In addition to his immediate family Jim has a large extended family, including several brother and sister in laws, and 59 nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Doris Simon.
Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 28, from 10 am to 12 pm, a funeral service will be held at 12 pm. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family at this time.
