James Donald Alderman, Sr. 1940-2021 Obituary
James Donald Alderman, Sr., age 81, of Buckhannon died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at River Oaks Nursing Care Facility in Clarksburg. He was born on April 29, 1940, in Upshur County a son of the late Willard Kemp and Helen Rosalie Wimer Alderman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his former wives; Sis, Helen and Linda Alderman; two brothers; Bobby and Leonard “Lennie” Alderman and two sisters; Carol Young and Naomi Sutton.
He is survived by one son James D. Alderman, Jr. and wife Linda “Diane” Alderman of Crawford; two daughters: Claudette Harris of Virginia and Jamie Backlin and husband David of Missouri; four grandchildren: Lacia Bennett, David Sack, Kendra Browning and Sashanna Hartford; nine great grandchildren; three brothers: Charles Alderman of French Creek, Larry and wife Trecia Alderman of Buckhannon, Roger and wife Penny Alderman of Virginia; three sisters: Charolet Young and companion James Barnhill of Rock Cave, Joyce Riffle of Pennsylvania and Karen and husband Sonny Robinson of French Creek
Mr. Alderman was a veteran having served in the US Army.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Rock Cave Cemetery with Pastor David Jessie officiating.
