James E. Wooddell, 71, of Elkins, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Mr. Wooddell was born March 12, 1931, at Augusta, a son of the late Forest and Belle Taylor Wooddell.
He was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Herbert Wooddell; one brother, Clyde Wardel Wooddell; and one grandchild, Mark Perkins.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Jamison of Morgantown, and Sue Savage of Clio, Mich.; one sister, Mary Margaret Darby of Adelaide, Australia; one brother, Forrest Wooddell of Green Bank; three grandchildren, Marcia Perkins, Matthew Weser and Catie Hussion; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Hussion and Sarah Hussion.
Friends will be received at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Julian Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will follow in Arbovale Cemetery with military graveside rites.
