James Robert “Robbie” Hill Jr., 57, a resident of Kerens, passed from this life Friday, May 15, 2015 at home. Robbie was born Monday, September 2, 1957 in Elkins, a son of the late James R. Hill Sr. and Lois “Tootie” Gum Hill. Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Joyce Judy of Leading Creek and Joni Smailes of Saint Albans, two nieces, two nephews, one great niece, special friends, Kris and Wayne Clemens and his kitty, Callie. Preceding Robbie in death besides his parents were his paternal grandparents, Levi and Irene Hill and maternal grandparents, Clyde and Carole Gum. Robbie was a 1976 graduate of Elkins High School and had been employed as a lumber broker for J C Lumber. He was an avid outdoorsman. Robbie enjoyed watching all forms of sports and Nascar. He owned several Harleys and loved to ride. Robbie enjoyed painting landscapes and was a self taught guitar player. Robbie’s request for cremation was honored. Robbie’s cremains will be scattered Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00A at Blackfork in Lower Cheat. All are welcome.
