James Roy Martin, 68, of Huttonsville, WV entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon August 20, 2010 at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center in Elkins, WV surrounded by family. He was born Thursday September 18, 1941 in Glasgow, WV, a son of the late Charles H. and Anna Ruth Schull Martin. He was employed by Island Creek Coal Company for several years. Jim was multi-talented person who loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, working on his farm and welding. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 1995 by his wife Beverly Irene Denny who he wed on Sunday October 13, 1963 in Flint, MI. Left to cherish his memories are his only child: daughter Teresa Martin and husband Terry of Orangeburg, SC; grandchildren: Andrea Chappell and husband Tim of Pickens, SC, Stacy Martin and fiancee Drew Davis of Clemson, SC, Josh Martin of Orangeburg, SC, T.J. Martin and fiancee Stephanie of Charleston, WV and Amber Martin Kilgore and husband Jimmy of Belle, WV; great-grandchildren: Elijah Martin of Charleston, WV, Desiree Kilgore of Belle, WV and Mackenzie Lynn Martin of Charleston, WV; three very special friends: Bob Delaunder of Belington, WV, Wendall Jack of Huttonsville, WV and best friend throughout life: Peanut Bowe of Flint, MI. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Hospice Care Inpatient Center; 169 Diamond Street; Elkins, WV 26241. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday August 23, 2010 at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services.Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday August 23, 2010 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV.
